Dr Jorge Obando MD

Dr Obando is a gastroenterologist and interventional endoscopist who  has been working at Duke University Medical Centre in North Carolina, USA for many years and is expert in the endoscopic management of pancreatic disease. He is a member of the editorial group responsible for the NCCN guidelines into the management of pancreatic adenocarcinoma. It is a real pleasure to have Dr Obando presenting at ASPAN for the third time.

Dr Stephen Philcox FRACP

Dr Philcox is a gastroenterologist and interventional endoscopist.  He underwent training in Sydney and Brisbane before heading to North Carolina to undertake a fellowship in interventional endoscopy at Duke University. This was followed by a brief stint as an attending at Duke University Medical Centre and the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Durham before returning to Australia to take up a staff specialist position at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle. His practice encompasses therapeutic EUS and ERCP and he has a special interest in all things pancreatic. Dr Philcox is the current President of the Australasian Pancreatic Club and is an abstract reviewer for pancreatic submissions to DDW.
